The German-American Business Council of Boston, Inc. (GABC) is a non-profit, member-based organization of companies, business people, and other professionals dedicated to encouraging and cultivating German-American business and trade. Through its speaker series, networking events, and social gatherings, the GABC provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and for business and professional contacts between its members. Our members represent all facets of the international business community including manufacturers, trade specialists, financiers, government officials, scientists, researchers, attorneys, educators and entrepreneurs. Wolfgang Gerhardt, MP is Chairman of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, the leading foundation for liberal politics in the Federal Republic of Germany. He is the former leader of the German Free Democrat Party and of the FDP Parliamentary Group in the Bundestag. He was a member of the State Parliament in Hesse between 1978 and 1994, leading the State Parliamentary Group of FDP from 1983 until 1987. He served as Minister for Science and Art of the State of Hesse between 1987 and 1991. Since 1994 he has been a Member of the German Bundestag.

The GABC professional community bids farewell to Consul Loehr and his lovely wife Angela Zhang. Consul Loehr came to us in 2008 and since then has contributed greatly to the cultural and professional German-American community of Boston. We will miss Consul Löhr and Angela, and wish them Alles Gute für die Zukunft!

This popular annual event is intended for executives and professionals with European business relationships.
