Delivery is Key! Performance Workshop for Entrepreneurs

Wednesday, May 3, 2017

What can an opera singer teach an entrepreneur? How to deliver a killer pitch!

For entrepreneurs, being able to deliver your business pitch on demand is the difference between life and death for your ideas. Pressure to perform. Nerves. These often prevent entrepreneurs from delivering their message in a way that emotionally connects with their investors.

Our presenter, opera singer Katja Schoenherr, has reached more than 10 million people in live audiences, performed globally and recorded with major labels. She is an educator of next generation performers.

Like any audience, investors crave authenticity and confidence. Their ability to focus on your story depends on your ability to understand and then captivate them as your audience. Building on the concepts of our February workshop “Mastering the Me Talk” which focused on crafting your pitch, this workshop took attendees through the next step of helping them to find their own voice, to engage their audience — whether that’s one-on-one in an elevator or in front of thousands on the world’s largest stage.

This workshop taught attendees the key concepts and tools of high pressure stage performances enabling them to successfully – and consistently! – deliver a message, both live and recorded. Topics included: voice functionality and use; body posture and purposeful movement; and stage presence. We also covered the real world challenges of how to deal with stage fright, how to connect to and manage your audience, how to prepare, and how to stay “fresh” when you’re pitching the same message again and again.
