January Stammtisch (Escape Room)

The monthly GABC Stammtisch Goes Zoom!

Join the virtual Stammtisch on Tuesday, January 26th at 7PM

Join this casual virtual gettogether of GABC members and those new to the GABC. For this edition, the YPs are planning to offer a virtual escape room*) which is a terrific icebreaker and great way to meet a few people and should last about 30 to 45 minutes.

*)Hint: an escape room, also known as an escape game, is a game in which players cooperatively discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks in one or more rooms in order to progress and accomplish a specific goal in a limited amount of time.

The Stammtisch is hosted by the Young Professionals, but everyone is welcome.  This virtual event is usually approximately an hour long, but if the conversation flows, also longer. Depending on who is attending, we may also speak German — if you enjoy speaking, practicing or listening to German, this is a great hour for you to join.

If you have participated in any of the previous virtual Stammtisches, you know that we like to have a theme or icebreaker and we will talk about what’s on everybody’s mind. The Stammtisch is about getting together in a relaxed environment, meet new people who share at least one common denominator: an interest in Germany, German business or language.

The Stammtisch is hosted by the YPs, and everyone is welcome.

What is the “regular” Stammtisch about?

This informal get-together organized by the GABC Young Professionals group aims to connect professionals new to the Boston/Cambridge area with the local GABC network – and we introduce you to a different bar or restaurant every month. Join us every first Tuesday evening of the month – we announce the location via the GABC Web site and mailing list. It helps if you RSVP, so we know how many to expect.
