Jon Waters is the General Manager for acontis technologies in the US. acontis is a software company based in Southern Germany that provides solutions for real-time communications to a wide range of markets including industrial automation, medical, semiconductor, aerospace, and robotics. The company specializes in the industrial communication protocol known as EtherCAT as well real-time hypervisors for virtualization.
Jon has a technical background with degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, and over 15 years of experience in embedded systems, sales, and marketing. Throughout his career he has always had ties with Germany, often working for companies with headquarters in Germany. In 2019 he helped establish the US subsidiary for acontis in Framingham, MA.
