American with German International Engineering Program degree seeks job in Germany

In May 2015 I will finish my dual degree German International Engineering Program from the University of Rhode Island. The GIEP consists of a bachelor of science in engineering and a bachelor of arts in German. In addition to two degrees, it is also required to spend a year abroad in the country of chosen language. From September 2013 until August 2014 I was in Germany, the first half as a student at TU Braunschweig, and the second half as an intern at IAV in Gifhorn. As an intern at IAV, I worked in the On- Board Diagnostics of diesel exhaust systems. Through my university classes I have collected technical experience and due to my year abroad I greatly increased my intercultural and international experiences. I have also done various summer internships before my year abroad and have had other work experience.

I am currently searching for an opportunity to use my engineering knowledge and my German language skills once I graduate, and therefore am aiming to be employed by an engineering company in Germany. Ideally this would be at a mechanical automotive design branch in engineering, however being at any engineering company in which my skills could be used would give me great pleasure.

Sincerely,
Daniel Kaehler
